BIO

TCW is an Australian rapper and hip hop producer originally from regional NSW who has resided in south Sydney for the last 15 years. TCW uses various methods in his production, building his own beats from scratch and also sampling recorded tracks ranging sonically from electronic, R&B, soul, Jazz, to rock and folk, blending a unique variety of sounds making it his own that can be best described as a genuine modern hip hop production style bridging on a somewhat experimental industrial appeal. His flow reflects his inspirations such as J.cole, Kendrick lamar, eminem and biggie smalls, while his rhyme structure at times pulls from his earlier inspirations such as vinnie paz and ILL BILL, lyrically technical with a poetic conscious conceptual writing dimension. TCW has been fine tuning his craft for nearly 10 years on and off and has recently put together a professionally cut 13 track concept album reflecting everything he has learned along his life journey while expressing his growth from his trials and tribulations along with his deep passions, which was all recorded, mixed and mastered at KILN studios in Sydney’s inner west. T.C.W keeps very active in the creative process with stacked projects and consistent drops, with the next ready to go and coming soon.

LIAR BIRDS

NEWEST SINGLE OFF UPCOMING ALBUM

DROPPING SOON 15/09/2024

LIAR BIRDS is a strait banger full of energy fuelled by an ensemble of eerie drill/trap esq keys and driven by a pulsing synth bass that makes you feel like you hitting boost in a supercar up the interstate on the run from the feds while you getting a blowie off a latina baddie!! T.C.Ws technical and unique flow and delivery coupled with his use of witty wordplay to compound the concepts of the phenomenon of cultural bandwagoning and his endeavors to call out such a phenomenon for its lack of independent thinking and style sees a well rounded stylish banger that’s sure to make some noise on the local and national circuit.

Gem In The Flesh

Gem in the flesh is an intricate and unique hip hop concept album with elements of rock, boom bap cloud rap and just general lush instrumentals that come together to form a modern hip hop experience. Throughout the album T.C.W sees himself in dialogue with his own low self esteem as he stumbles his way through his upbringing in regional NSW, through to him transitioning into adulthood in Sydney city. Throughout this album many deep concepts in relation to T.C.Ws battle with low self esteem are touched on including sociology, psychology, and spirituality, as T.C.W learns the lessons of life as a conscious man trying to find his way through toxic situations, drug and alcohol abuse and family dysfunction, eventually leading to severe withdrawals and being arrested multiple times. The gem, in the gem in the flesh, is the gift of hip hop that that allowed T.C.Ws gifts of writing and music to be focused and flourish which offered an avenue for redemption through application of his craft and submission to his creator which is seen expressed through his poetic style on the backend of the album.

DAMN, I AM U

The track begins with an eerie viking war horn setting a tone like something of a rebellious war where we see TCW bringing in an element of rock with an electric guitar rock solo loop over some thumping kicks, that echoes in from the mist of the front lines! followed by a rock anthem drum pattern entering the mix backed by a pulsing bass which sets the tone for the performance. The vocal performance starts with a low and anticipated tone introducing the deep concepts portrayed in this bit. The vocal performance quickly goes from 0-100 instantly! reflecting the passions of a modern revolution. The lyrics are hard hitting and confronting and some may even say controversial. The track ends in a complete beat switch with TCW showing more talent than elvis himself proving he can match even the best exactly to the bar mirroring the artist where the art mirrors the life which mirrors the creator, offering nothing but authentic truth almost as though it was pecked off the bone of a rotting carcass.

Fuk Wif Me

Taking a minimalist approach in relation to production with a boom bap esq drum pattern over eeri plucked electric and acoustic guitars Fuk Wif Me is a strait hip hop tune of bars over booming drums. Fuk Wif Me’s title is general statement which sounds as if the artist is asking listeners to give their time and interest but it’s more as if to speak from the perspective of hip hop itself. The first verse touches on the evolution of hip hop presenting significant characters past and present along with notable historical events and concepts where TECEE’s inspiration through these characters, events and concepts is made known. The second verse touches on an integral part of hip hop culture, which is the hustle, whether legal or illegal, with this particular verse focusing on the latter which was an interesting part of TECEE’s life that ties into the concept of the album.

DA OISIES

The second single off the upcoming album Da Oisies again takes a minimalist approach to production with a jazzy trumpet over a warm upbeat guitar backed by a solid deep 808 with a bouncey drum pattern. The first verse touches on a time in TECEE’s life when he fell back in with lads from his hometown at an age where fun and running mucks was the priority over anything. The second verse highlights important aspects of brotherhood which, when given today’s society, in relation to drugs, crime and narcissistic tendencies at an all time high, is a very important topic for the facilitating of wellbeing for young lads going through life. The verses are and hook are tied together with a bridge that brings the songs concept back into the overarching concept of the album as a whole.
